After reading Law at Cambridge, Brian joined merchant bankers S G Warburg & Co Limited as part of a team advising on Takeovers, Mergers and New Issues. Brian was appointed Company Secretary of S G Warburg & Co Limited, Mercury Securities PLC (S G Warburg's quoted parent company) and of Keystone Investment Company PLC, a fully-listed investment trust. From there, he moved to become an Executive Director of Barclays Merchant Bank Limited, the merchant banking subsidiary of Barclays Plc. Since then, he has served as non-executive Chairman of several companies, including fully-listed East Lancashire Paper Group PLC, Ashley Industrial Trust PLC and Camford Engineering PLC before buying into Neville Registrars Limited, where his wide corporate advisory and legal experience is particularly relevant.
Director
Since joining Neville Registrars on an apprenticeship scheme in 1999, Mark has accumulated a wealth of experience in share registration, receiving agent and corporate action work and has become a key part of the team. In addition to his main role, Mark continues to manage various corporate actions, as well as taking the lead in the Company’s growth by continuing to recruit and train new apprentices. Mark was appointed a Director in 2015 and is a member of the ICSA Registrars Group.
Assistant Director
Gervase joined Neville Registrars in 2013 from city law firm RPC LLP. A qualified Solicitor and Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, Gervase graduated from Nottingham University with degrees in Law (LLB, 2009) and Theology (BA, 2007). With a broad understanding of corporate law and corporate governance code, Gervase specialises in managing client corporate actions, advising on technical proceedings and corporate governance practice at client General Meetings and assisting the Board of Neville Registrars with management and internal matters. Gervase is a member of the ICSA Registrars Group and a Freeman of the WCCSA.
Registrar
Anne began her career at Neville Registrars immediately after completing her education. After 10 years of dedicated service, in 1988 Anne left the company to start her family. Having furthered her career at other companies in the area, Anne rejoined Neville Registrars in 2007 and now has over 21 years of experience in share registration, managing the Registration team for 10 years.
Financial Controller
Andy joined Neville Registrars as Financial Controller in 2015. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 having previously gained a 2:1 B.A. (Hons) degree in Finance and Accounting at the City of Birmingham University. Having worked his way up through the ranks at a local Chartered Accountancy practice, Andy decided to move into industry and, for the 17 years prior to joining Neville Registrars, worked for SMEs, mainly in the manufacturing sector. Andy is involved with all aspects of the business, from accountancy to HR, illustrating his broad skills base.
Meetings Manager & Corporate Actions Executive
Reece joined Neville Registrars' Client Services team straight from college in 2007, following completion of a Business and Media course. Today, Reece manages client meetings and proxy reporting, as well as print and despatch work as Meetings Manager. He is also an active member of the Corporate Actions team, handling numerous transactions including takeovers, open and tender offers as a Corporate Actions Executive.
Client Services Manager
Having successfully completed a BA Honours Degree in 2003, Emma gained a number of years experience working in the Sales, Administration, Voluntary and Health sectors. Emma went on to spend 6 valuable years working as a Registrar in Local Government and joined Neville Registrars in 2009. In addition to performing a corporate governance role at client general meetings, as Client Services Manager, Emma oversees all aspects of Neville Registrars' marketing and new business operations.
Senior Developer and IT Manager
Matt joined Neville Registrars in 2006 to modernise and enhance the Company's IT infrastructure and develop its bespoke software solutions. Matt has designed and managed the delivery of various key projects including early migrations to a fully relational database and expanding on the flexibility of systems for both core Registration services and Corporate Action departments while evolving and modernising the IT infrastructure to keep pace with changes due to innovation as well as regulation. Matt oversees the development team, focussing on mentoring and inclusivity to keep the idea of flexibility at the forefront of the team's goals.
